X3 CMS 0.3.2 beta

A new release of X3 CMS.

Which news:

  • Upgraded to TinyMCE 3 RC2, editing is more fun. Now you can upload inside the editor a subtemplate.
  • Upgraded to Mootools 1.11.
  • Cleaning code:
    • all pages borns from page.php, more linear and less duplicates;
    • ROOT is now defined automatically;
    • only 2 .htaccess file;
    • cleaned css files of Simplywhite theme;
    • replaced .inc with .php.
  • Added phpMailer for mailing.
  • Default charset is now UTF8 (require MBString extension of Php);
  • Adminitration:
    • after login now you can see X3 CMS version;
    • Management of subtemplates needed by TinyMCE;
    • Backup for MySQL too.
  • Modules:
    • added tag_selector_single: show only one article among tagged;
    • added x3_contacts for a basic contacts form with captcha (require GD extension of Php) and privacy.
  • Fixed Bugs:
    • paginate now works correctly;
    • add a group and an user is now OK;
    • and many small others.

We are late but 0.3.1 release, better than ever, finally is out!

A short introduction:

  • Now You can add item to dictionaries;
  • Speed up performance with rewritten functions and caching system;
  • SEO news: You can edit keywords and description on each page, home page too;
  • Bad news: DarkSide the new theme is still under construction.

X3 CMS CORE 0.3 beta

A lot of news into this release: first of all database redesign.

More details:

  • Extreme flexibility of themes and templates (one column, two, three, four, five columns, one large and one small, one large and two small, one up and one down and so on). After theme and template creation You must only select them and put contents.
  • During database redesign we made some small and nice features:
    • With X3 CMS You can build multilingual websites, but not each and every are multilingual. Now single language websites have a simpler administration.
    • Wih X3 CMS You can build multi area websites, but not each and every are multi area. Now single area websites have a simpler administration.
    • With X3 CMS You can set users with different permissions
      Now users with limited permissions can reach Modules management from the menù. Useful for inexperienced users.
  • Simplified pages and menus management.
    Now menus management is with pages management. A page (if is home's subpage) can become a menù item and can be removed from menù. You can order menù and submenù items.
  • You can see MooTools benefits into page layout managing: more intuitive and faster.
  • Off line page now is themed with an own template and stylesheet.
  • Last but not least: X3 CMS installer that guide and simplify users experience.

I use this occasion to give thanks who downloads X3 CMS (over 200 until this time) and who help us signaling bugs or suggesting enhancements.

X3 CMS CORE 0.2.1 beta

After few weeks again here with a new release of CMS X3.
Ther'is only a notice: a lot of small errors and malfunctions now works fine.

Some examples:

  • Search engine now searches also into pages with tag_selector module;
  • Site map now hide subpages of disabled page;
  • Now You can create a subpage of disabled page;
  • Fixed bug in registration logs;
  • Fixed bugs in registration of new pages and articles;
  • Modified behaviour with wrong config file.

The database is the same of 0.2.
